The FitzVogt & Associates, LTD 18th Annual Ballroom Gala to benefit Meals on Wheels was a great success!  Close to 300 people came to the Radisson Hotel in Manchester and enjoyed great music, dancing and elegant dance demonstrations from several local studios.  Attendees were able to bid on over seventy items at our silent auction and the lucky winner of our annual raffle walked away with a Kindle Fire.

A brief but heartfelt thank you now, with more to come, to all those who helped to make our largest fundraiser of the year a big success.

Tomorrow, May 5, 2012, we will welcome almost 300 people to this year’s gala to benefit the St. Joseph Community Services Meals on Wheels Program.  It will be a great night with ballroom dance music, a three-course meal, four dance demonstrations, dozens of silent auction items and two tickets to the May 26 Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays Game to be sold at our live auction. 

We are no longer selling tickets on-line, but we will have a limited number available at the door.  I hope to see you tomorrow at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, located at 700 Elm Street, starting at 6:00 for the FitzVogt & Associates 18th Annual Ballroom to Benefit Meals on Wheels.

This year, St. Joseph Community Services, Inc. (SJCS), the provider of Meals On Wheels and Community Dining throughout Hillsborough County will hold a Cinco de Mayo themed fundraiser.  The FitzVogt & Associates, LTD 18th Annual Ballroom Gala to benefit Meals On Wheels will be on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Radisson Hotel Manchester, NH from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m.

Hundreds of fashionably attired guests will dance the night away to music played by DJ Joe Butera, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and an elegant three course dinner, bid on auctions and enjoy a star-studded performance by local ballroom dancers.

Tickets are $60 per person.  Tickets may be purchased here online at www.mealsonwheelsnh.org or by calling St. Joseph Community Services 603-424-9967.  If you are unable to attend, but would like to make a difference in an elder or disabled neighbor’s life, please consider a donation.

On April 24, 2010, several hundred people gathered to help raise money for Meals on Wheels at the Fitz, Vogt & Associates, LTD 16th Annual Ballroom Gala.  Participants crowded the dance floor and danced to live music by Rico Barr and the Jumpn’ Jive Review.  They also enjoyed dinner, raffles, silent and live auctions and ballroom dance performances by Royal Palace Dance Studio, Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Paper Moon Dance Center and Krystal Ballroom Dance Studio.  The evening was skillfully emceed by Mike Morin of the WZID (95.7 radio) Morning Show.

Thank you to the businesses and individuals who, in this difficult economic time, helped us achieve our goal for this event.  Proceeds will help us in our struggle to provide a nutritious meal, a daily safety check and socialization to an average of 1,650 elderly and homebound clients throughout Hillsborough County.   For many of our homebound clients, the only person they see during the day is their Meals on Wheels driver. 

Since its founding St. Joseph Community Services (SJCS) has served more than 9.6 million meals to an elderly, disabled and often isolated population.  Fundraising dollars touch every meal we serve.  We served 419,908 meals last year, this is 37,300 more meals than the previous year and the need continues to grow.
