Thank you, Boston Billiards for a fantastic week!

Boston Billiards Club & Casino generously selected SJCS as its Feb 17- 23rd Games of Chance Beneficiary and SJCS rallied in support a couple weeks ago! SJCS staff and board members got together for dinner and conversation while enjoying the fun atmosphere and high energy of the club.

Our thanks to everyone at Boston Billiards who contributed to our evening out and who made it possible for SJCS to successfully benefit all week from Games of Chance!

As the Coronavirus continues to cause concerns, St. Joseph Community Services has made the decision to cancel  Community Champions Week scheduled for March 16 – 20. We are taking this precautionary measure to limit exposure from the public to our frail home-bound clients. We will be posting regular updates via our social media accounts. To all those who signed up to be our champions, thank you. Your support means so much to all of us.

The week of March 16-20 is Community Champions Week which is part of March for Meals, a national Meals on Wheels Association initiative. To recognize this important initiative, we have invited our “champions:” local, state and federal officials, local celebrities, civil servants, and other prominent community figures to deliver meals, speak out and help raise public awareness for the nutritional and social needs of seniors.

This week, and the champions who take part, truly help to demonstrate the power and impact of Meals on Wheels within our community.

This year, we will have champions in record numbers and we are so grateful for the critical support that their participation provides for our programs.

Stay tuned for photos and stories once we wrap up this important week!

Statement on COVID-19 Risk of Cancellation or Transition to Virtual Race

Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus), there is a risk of cancellation for 5K races over the next several months. We are still accepting race registrations at this time but will   continue to monitor CDC and state recommendations regarding public gatherings and will update race status as information unfolds. The race committee has decided that in the event this year’s Step-Up 5K must be transitioned to a Virtual Race, we will offer the choice to participate in the race in that form, or refund all race registration fees with the exception of any online transactional fees paid to Run Sign Up (those average about $2.50 per registrant).

Registration for 2020 Step-Up is Open!
